GHR
« on: February 05, 2012, 10:16:25 AM »
Started building my GHR yesterday, using an old bench as my basic frame, scored from a mate who was about to put it in the rubbish. Estimated it should cost $50 time finished (cutting disc's, welding rods, a little extra steel tube, black paint and some foam) will post some piccies when complete.

If it works, you could sell them for 3 times that minimum..

Looking forward to seeing how it turns out, you could almost add a Reverse Hyper type pulley as well - might make it pretty messy though.

Here is the start of my GHR base only at moment.
The rest of the steel should be in next week.
As you can tell Im not the best welder, but can
guarantee it will never fall apart plenty of grinding
and steel putty.
As for Reverse hyper I think the old man has
an old wool press out the farm prob make a good base.
For anyone thats handy, farm clearance or garage
sales are awesome to find potential gym equipment
with a bit of imagination

GHR on the back burner at the moment apparently I have to get my priorities right and build a veranda first. Will keep the info flowing once back on track.

I think you need to re-evaluate your priorities - who needs a verandah  :D

Apparently the house looks shit without it and she's sick of it being hotter on the inside of the house than the outside. "My gym looks shit with out it" didn't work :(

Tell her your increased hamstring strength from the GHR will help with you doing things around the house
