Iron dungeon
« on: January 20, 2012, 11:58:18 AM »
I like the name.

What I'm going to suggest is just my opinion

Delete a lot of the sections and just have no more than three or for.

To me the name reflects an old garage gym and rugged gyms.

There are so many garage gyms, we should focus on this?

Rather than trying to cater for everything we should specialize?

I'm fucking sick of forums, and the stupid conversations that go on about boobs, supplements, steroids and the eternal arguments about which is better, powerlifting or bodybuilding.

Let's get some real good discussion about working out happening.

very true..a lot of the forums are very similar

which sections would you take out?

the genral discussion posts have really slow down...a lot of people look at the forum but don't comment on things...is it because they get abused on other forums??

I like your ideas firefox!

mara is correct, we get a ton of traffic just not much interaction, it's almost like a wiki these days.

Cool

Training talk

Training logs

Nutrition

Beginners

..??

That's off the top of my head

But there needs to be a break from, powerlifting versus bodybuilding and an emphasis on simple hard training.

I think we are off to a good start because there is a handful of us here that beleive this.

I think the archive section needs to stay, Dan's put a lot of work into that, it is quite a good reference.

This is what's happening at my place.

3x3 type workout

FWIW, I will contribute a lot more if this is the road we take.

I think a person can biuld a lot of strength just using basic equipment.

I also feel that a trainee needs to embrace the concept of using exercise as a means to biuld strength, and not a method of demonstrating it.

Here's my own iron dungeon.
And some home made gear, attached.
Still want to make some more but running out of room.

Yep my next builds will be, Cambered safety squat bar, dip station, then different size boxes (box squat) a reverse hyperextension then last a GHR. Basically I would have ran out of room by then.
I'll post piccies as I go.
