Intermittent Fasting: Lean Gains

Thinking about giving this a trial (a short one - 4wks see what happens) - it's appealing because of the eating times etc. 
+ Summer's coming and I've never really done a proper diet before. (although I'm not into micro-managing, so it will be basic)

I'm not 'cutting' or 'bulking' just recomp. (if that makes sense)

The basic guidelines for Recomp:
Off days: 90% maintenance (note: cutting is 60%), 1.5g/lb protein, .5g/lb carbohydrate, rest from fat
Training days: 110% maintenance, 1.5g/lb protein, 2g/lb carbohydrate, rest from fat

I was going to follow this plan:

11.30-12 AM or 5-15 minutes pre-workout: 10 g BCAA
12-1 PM: Training
1 PM: Post-workout meal (largest meal of the day).
4 PM: Second meal.
9 PM: Last meal before the fast.

The last meal will probably be abit earlier - so depending on the time of that meal, I'll adjust the training time.

So the 3 meals will be made of the following (or attempt to be):
(I'm roughly 250lb) -
Off days: 3600 cal, 375g protein, 125g carb, rest from fat
Training days: 4400 cal, 375g protein, 500g carb, rest from fat

Looking at those numbers, I think - that's alot of food. (protein and high carb day are going to be difficult to reach)
I suppose I could drop the numbers slightly?

I'm a bit of a newb when it comes to this stuff - so any help is appreciated.

I'll post the meal plan - once I add the numbers up

i couldnt fast...i need something as soon as i wake up otherwise i feel like shit

I'm pretty much the same.

Still unsure atm -  people are getting some great results from it though.

I gave intermittent fasting a go for about three months not long ago. I would rate it as a success and when I decide that I want to diet again I will definitely use this approach again. The only reason I am not using it at the moment is that I find it easier to take in the required calories for weight gain (which is my current goal) by spreading my meals out more.

I started my fast before bed at 10pm and had my first meal at 2pm. I never really found it difficult to do this and had no trouble resisting hunger cravings, they went away quickly. I had no issues with mental alertness and I think if anything I had greater mental clarity during the fast.

Fasting has been gaining a lot more recognition and acceptance within the strength and physique community, with Chad Waterbury endorsing a 'Warrior Diet' style of eating and John Berardi testing different fasting protocols and having a lot of positive things to say.

What I like about the diet most was that it seemed to allow my body and digestive system to 'cleanse' itself, rather than the traditional 6-7 meal-a-day onslaught. All of the food that I ate seemed to be used, rather than stored.

The biggest lesson that I took from my time on IF was that your muscles won't shrivel up and disappear if you go for more than three hours without food. You can still gain strength and even muscle using this approach, provided you take in enough total calories during your feeding phase.

I am now a lot less neurotic about my meal timing and have shifted to four bigger meals a day rather than smaller, more frequent meals. I feel that it's a better approach for me since I don't have a super-fast metabolism and I enjoy eating fulfilling meals.

I've used this over the last month and I think it works really well, i'll try to eat this way permanently as I really enjoy it, seeing great composition improvements aswell.

Alright, it didn't take me long... I'm back to eating LeanGains style.

After two days I'm already less bloated, my waist is tighter (pants feel looser) and I don't waste 30-45 min in the morning preparing and trying to force down breakfast when I don't even feel hungry. Then I basically get to eat as much as I want to in the afternoon/evening.
