Old Members Re-introduce Yourself Here!
« on: October 05, 2010, 09:25:12 PM »
In the spirit of revamping this place here's a thread for older members of ID to re-introduce themselves

Maradona here, training since 92. Competed in the Victorians in 98 and came third in the open novice. I now train for fitness and to keep a bit of size I'm 186cm at 95kg and I would  guess 9 to 10%BF at the moment.

I also started last year with MMA which was then changed to kickboxing. Due to past injuries my shoulders have limited flexibility and anything that resembles BJJ kills them...

I also do spin cycling HITT and kettlebell work.

So there... that's me....

ah yeah, based in Melbourne

as per big comments...yes...I'm 39!

Hi

This is my 2nd post in about 4yrs, i've been lurking; I guess I'm more of a listener/reader than a speaker.  :behindsofa:
Megatron's latest notice has encouraged me to be more active in this forum, so i'll try my best
In the past I've joined other BB/PL related forums and grew tired of the BS. And left.

Iron Dungeon you are my only hope. :b41:

Some quick stats:
24y.o / 6'5ish / 113kgish
Just jumped on the 531 train.

Maxpower aka firefox (Andy)

At 48 I've been training for quite some time, tried just about tried everything and discovered everything does work is you work safe and hard.

I hope we see more posting by the members, let's give the mod squad something to do.

How are you finding 5/3/1?
Never argue with an idiot. They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Hello all, my name is Dan, I'm 36 and try and juggle weights training with some BJJ, to a lesser extent MMA, some cycling, 12 hour day and night shifts, 4 kids and the Mrs. I train because I love it, nothing more.

How are you finding 5/3/1?

I've only just started my 1st phase, (doing 4 days p/wk)

I'm liking it though.

Are you currently on the program?

Basing my training on it. Trying to get some strength back after a long lay off.

Nice.
I was just browsing your log, the program is certainly doing its job; weights are increasing each week.
Great work considering your busy schedule.

Do you think you'l run it for the long term?

Hey brothers. I'm still training, done jiu jitsu for a while, won a gold medal and went back to lifting :)
Lifting is so much more fun for me. I am currently trying to get into the SA Police force. Have my entrance exam next month :)
Great to see everyone still here ;)
