American Psycho!  ???  Now that movie is f*cked up!

Went and seen Pirates of the Carrabean 3 last night.  One of the few sequels that lives up to the first movies and all the hype!  Was a little confusing at times with all the different deals all the pirates had going on, all with their own secret agendas.  I couldn't believe it went for over 2.5hours!  I thought my phone was broken when I checked the time when we were leaving the cinema...

Oh, and like the previous Pirate movies, make sure you stay until AFTER the credits, as there is small extra scene!  ;)

Aussie gives Pirates 8/10

I'm a huge fan of Johnny Depp's, one of the few actors in the world that actually knows how to act without being a prima dona...

Most anticipated movie of the year for me - Hostel II (You may not like the first one, but the story was original - reminded me of Sam Raimi's Evil Dead, original and a horror classic)...The other one is Golden compass, now this fantasy tale could be a gem if done right....As a wonderful cast and crew, so god willing it will be a good one...:)

Seen both Pulse and Feast, little unheard of low budget horror movies...Not bad little gems, if a little over acted..Reminded me of Billy Zane in Tales From the Crypt - Demon Knight, now that movie rocks...:)

Dude... the first hostel was a stomach turning unpleasant experience, it relied on nudity / gore / shock value and low brow themes to hold any interest. Terrible movie mate... Theres a reason that story line hasnt been covered before, its because its unpleasant and vulgar. The second has been released so quickly as well, nothing more needed to be covered in that movie, itll probably be like the 2nd and 3rd cruel intentions with a budget as low as low can be.

The whole point of the movie was to shock....The whole point of movie making is to express..Ok, you did not like it because of its content, well you should try watching 'I spit on your grave' then you may come back and say, Hostel is more akin to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs lol...Try Straw Dogs, not the saturated version but the director original, absolute classic...

The likes of Straw Dogs, I spit on your grave, House by the Cemetary are all provactive, and hit hard at the very nerve, of our depraved society can be, but in saying that, they are classic movies, made my classic directors.....:)

I guess if your a real movie enthusiast watching a film goes beyond simply enjoying it, its like connaseurs of anything. They enjoy it all, even the bad just to expand their palette. With a title like "spit on your grave" I reckon ill give it a miss lol, I felt dirty and depraved just watching hostel.

Now this almost made me wet my pantz...At 26k, it ain't cheap, but excellence never is...I've certainly got my name down for one...:)

Not content with the AVC-A1 at 10 by 170 watts per channel (Close on 2kw of power) Denon are previewing a pre and power home theatre amplifier that will be iconic. DTS master and Dolby HD are onboard the preamp along with a unique level of home entertainment network integration. VU meters on the power amp...

I thought that Pirates 3 was shite, just like spiderman 3. Way too long at times, big time chick flick and nearly fell a sleep. The last battle scene was good but that's about it.

I also went to see The Science of Sleep. I think it's pretty damn good flick, but I'm sure a lot of people will disagree with me. I had a good laugh, it's a typical weird french flick. Also don't expect any special effects etc.

Ive really started enjoying intelligent films with suspense and even romantic films lately, all the action epic ones are just so passe' and cliched. Epic fantasy / fiction movies are good, even kids stuff!

Same with me voodz, it's all so predictable. That's why I've enjoyed science of sleep, it's so weird and unpredictable that all I could do is just laugh.

I have never seen the thing with Spiderman, I think its boring and so cliche....Then again, I don't think Tobey or Kirten are great actors, if anything, very very average...

I am looking forward to fracture with Anthony Hopkins, this one looks pretty promising indeed :)

Yes Voodz, got content insurance, I have to, I would die if someone took or put their dirty hands on my gear, grrrrr.....

How do I justify spending 26k, I've been waiting almost 3 years to update my amp and when Denon announced this baby, I just knew I wanted one...
